Tardigrades are tiny eight-legged creatures famous for surviving almost anything — dehydration, freezing, radiation, even the vacuum of space. The tardigrades in this game were subjected to something much worse: Toxic Positivity. Some limbs were lost. Nobody talks about the Incident. Tardigrades Are Forever is a fast, funny party card game where you win by lining up four Personal Apocalypse cards. Being an indestructible tardigrade is exhausting, and you're pretty much over it. You're trying to fill your own playing area with doom, darkness, lava and destruction — while your opponents keep you alive with kindness, encouragement and unconditional love. The first player to complete their row of four Personal Apocalypse cards wins. HOW IT PLAYS On your turn you flip 3 cards, then distribute all three: one for yourself, one for an opponent, one to the discard pile. Or, instead of distributing, combine multiple Meh cards to trigger powerful effects and ruin somebody else's plans. Whatever card is left on top of the discard pile is available to the next player — so even the card you throw away could be exactly what somebody else needs. There is no hand of cards to hold. Every turn gives you three cards, a table full of targets and a series of choices bound to annoy someone — possibly yourself. THE CARDS Personal Apocalypse — the cards you want. Play them on yourself, line up four, win. Toxic Positivity — play them on everyone else to block their apocalypse and force them to deal with the emotional burden of being cared for. Meh — useless alone, but combine enough of them to dump, steal and swing the game in your favour.
